I found this to be the best definition of a PLN: n. – the entire collection of people with whom you engage and exchange information, usually online.
I am most familiar with Facebooks since that is how I share information and pictures with friends and family. A PLN can connect you to information very quickly and can help you find people that share the same interests.
Ways that I may use a Personal Learning Network:
-Professional Development-learn from others with the same interests
-Find collaborative solutions
-Find links to current news in education
-Social Bookmarking
-Nings
Websites that will help me:
-Twitter
-Wikispaces
-Blogger
-Classroom 2.0
-Future of Education
-Diigo
-Delicious
I would love to hear your thoughts and comments on Personal Learning Networks!

Thoughts on How to Use Blogs in the Classroom
Since I teach third grade, typing is still a challenge for some students. The projects I would use a blog for must be simple and concise. Some ideas I have on incorporating blogs in the classroom are:
-using for class updates/handouts/assignments
-use as a questions and answer board
-online mentoring from an older student with school work
-class projects to share ideas and research
-class discussions
-online student portfolio
These are a few ideas. I would love to hear your thoughts and comments!

All Aboard!
I have created this "Technology Train Blog" for sharing ideas about technology uses in the classroom. I currently teach third grade, and the kids crave technology use, both during instruction and for individual and group assignments. Please feel free to share any ideas! (I am new to blogging and find it to be an interesting way to share information!)
